The Diving Bell Lounge is an educational podcast and space for learning about wine and engaging in conversations on all matters of interest with artists, writers, entertainment professionals, the science community, wine experts and more. While sommeliers and co-hosts, Shaughn Frehill and Shane Lopez, guide guests through the blind tasting experience, they use wine as a vehicle to drive conversation into other worlds and topics, including the arts, philosophy, and politics.

Episode 008: Evan Taubenfeld tastes 2012 Barbera D’Alba

Evan Taubenfeld is the head of A&R Crush Music, partner and brand ambassador at CCGP Wines and partner of Los Angeles restaurant, Sushi Note. He is a level 3 sommelier and passed the CMS certification and WSET with merit. Evan talks with Shaughn and Shane about his journey from music to wine and why he thinks wine is one of the most beautiful examples of art versus commerce.

Matthew Kaner (Wine Director & President of Will Travel For Wine, Co-Owner of Bar Covell, Augustine Wine Bar, Dead or Alive Bar and Good Measure, Founder of AM/FM Wines and Co-Founder of Solovin) is joined by Dr. Rick Heimann to blind taste Dr. Heimann's private collection of 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape from some of the region's most renowned and respected vineyards.

Episode 006: Adam Faberman tastes 2015 Koehler Grenache

Adam Faberman, writer on The Big Bang Theory, heads to Koehler Winery with Shaughn and Shane, where he tells his story of how he ended up in the writers' room of one of the most successful shows in television history over a bottle of Grenache. Koehler winemaker, Colin Murphy, joins the episode for the bottle reveal and to discuss the science of winemaking, as well as his philosophy and approach as a winemaker.
